How to let the past be the past.

Hey! You!
Yeah that’s right you, looking at this article!

I know you’ve been struggling. I know you’ve found it hard. I’m here for you.
Time has come now, for you to rest, for you to find peace in life.

You are not alone.
Almost every person on this planet has memories of something that was traumatic for them, hard for them to deal with at the time, and something that really stretched them, changed them and their beliefs of life.

We walk with you.

In order to move forward in life, to leave the past behind us, we must accept and appreciate that everything that has happened to us has created the person and the life we have with us now.

In order to move forward in life, we must forgive and try our hardest to forget and in doing so, begin to love ourselves truly.
Let go of your anger.
Let go of your hate.
Don’t allow such vile emotions to rot your beautiful mind.

If you feel these emotions, there are a few things you can do to remedy it.
Write a letter to the person or the thing that caused you so much grief, and then burn it.
Let it burn away.
Or meditate, imagine tying your problems and your past hurts to balloons.
Let them float away.

In order to move forward in life, we must find ourselves.
Find who we truly are and what we came here to do.
Life only comes once to each participant and it can be taken away in a second.
What do you want to be remembered by?
What do you want to leave behind?

You have a choice.
You can choose to let the past eat you up and take away your life, which is of course, no doubt the easier path
Or you can choose to stick the past, and live the life you intend to live.
It’s worth keeping in mind that nothing worth having comes easy.
